ABOUT THE EVENT /

Descendants of Levi Goodsil Todd are gathering to mark the 166th anniversary of the Todds' arrival in Nebraska.

Todd History:

Levi Goodsil Todd, know as "L.G.", was the first Todd in Nebraska, arriving in Cass County in 1853. In 1857, he was joined by an uncle, cousins and brothers - T.J. Todd, A.B. Todd, F.P. Todd, E.R. Todd, E. Todd.

The Todd linage has been traced to the mid-1500s to Reginald Todd of Yorkshire, England. From there, descendants traveled to New Haven, Connecticut, in the mid-1600s; then to Chautauqua and Herkimer Counties in New York in the early 1800s.

A descendant of Christopher Todd of Connecticut,  Levi Goodsil (born March 22, 1830) was one of 16 children born of Bela Todd and Lucy Hemmingway.

L.G. married Lydia Jones on February 20, 1955. Eight children were born to the Todds.

Today, Todd descendants (that's you) live on the original farm at Union, throughout Nebraska, across the country, and around the world.

Your Hosts:
